Job summary

Hornblower Group is seeking an IT Field Service Technician to deliver hands-on support across maritime and shoreside operations in Chicago, IL. The role requires independent problem solving, strong technical knowledge, and exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The position is office-based in Chicago with occasional travel to vessels and terminals. You will install, troubleshoot, and repair IT equipment and collaborate with Infrastructure, Network, Security, and Applications

Qualifications

• Experience troubleshooting Windows OS, M365, AD and Azure AD/Entra ID.
• Strong networking fundamentals and device support experience.
• Familiarity with ITSM ticketing and incident management tools.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite and remote IT support for desktops, laptops, printers, networks, POS, CCTV, and vessels/offices.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, OS, and network issues with minimal escalation.
• Manage tickets end-to-end with accurate documentation and timely resolution.
• Prioritize requests based on business impact and urgency across multiple sites.
• Perform deployments, replacements, and software upgrades; manage asset lifecycle.
