Job summary

TalentBridge is seeking a Financial Accountant/Staff Accountant to join a manufacturing finance team in Grand Rapids, MI. This on-site role requires 3–6 years of accounting experience and strong Excel skills to support month-end close and financial reporting.

The candidate will assist with budgeting, forecasting, and tax-related schedules while collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve processes and reporting efficiency.

Qualifications

• Strong Excel skills with lookup, pivot tables, and data reconciliation.
• Hands-on experience with month-end close, journal entries, and general ledger activity.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and financial reporting processes.
• Experience with Power BI, SQL, macros, or other BI/tools is a plus.
• Budgeting or forecasting experience and tax support familiarity.
• Audits experience or audit support familiarity is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support month-end close including journal entries, reconciliations, and schedules.
• Prepare journal entries within the first 3–4 business days of close.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities.
• Assist with tax schedules, documentation, and compliance.
• Support financial audits by preparing schedules and documentation as needed.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on daily accounting activities and projects.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve reporting.
