Job summary

Copeland in Ava, MO is seeking a Manufacturing Software Engineer to support machining projects, develop automation software, and improve safety, quality, efficiency and cost objectives on the shop floor. Based in Ava, this onsite role focuses on design, development, integration and ongoing improvement of automation systems.

You will work with IT to manage network gear, apply OS and software upgrades, troubleshoot CNC hardware, and advance manufacturing software such as .NET, Ignition and Python.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Computer Information or Engineering field.
• Programming concepts and general programming knowledge.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Organizational, presentation and project management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Legal authorization to work in the United States; no sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement software solutions for web, desktop and automation support.
• Manage and monitor network equipment for the Ava facility with IT.
• Handle Active Directory accounts and permissions for Ava Plant.
• Install, configure and maintain workstations; perform OS/software upgrades.
• Troubleshoot CNC hardware/software and related issues.
• Process end-user access requests per policy using IT ticketing system.
