Job summary

Rolls-Royce in Indianapolis invites applications for a Manufacturing Engineer - Development to deliver mill-turn process/method development for Turbines/Rotatives on Hermle platforms. Collaborate to define fixture/tooling and cutting strategies, verify paths, and continuously improve methods using Teamcenter NX CAD/CAM.

You will work with the Measurement Team to interpret CMM results to guide decisions, contributing to NPI, insourcing, and legacy process improvements in a production shop setting.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Science, Technology or Engineering with 4+ years of engineering experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology or Engineering with 2+ years of engineering experience.
  • Master's degree in Science, Technology or Engineering.
  • PhD in Science, Technology or Engineering.
  • In lieu of a degree 6+ years of engineering experience.
  • U.S. Citizenship required for consideration.

Responsibilities

  • HSE: ensure manufacturing processes meet Health, Safety & Environmental standards.
  • Product Safety: ensure processes meet design definition and compliance, investigate safety issues.
  • Quality: drive zero defects culture and Right First Time, ensure regulatory policy compliance.
  • Technical Authority: apply process controls and sign-off where applicable.
  • Requirements: identify opportunities for new or improved processes and digital systems.
  • Planning: manage schedule, resources and costs with stakeholders.
  • Develop Capability: implement and improve processes and digital systems for safety, quality and cost.
  • Capture and use data to prove current and future capability.
  • Collaborate with teams and share best practices.
  • Develop Talent: coach others and self-develop.
  • Build external relationships with partners and suppliers.
