Job summary

Global Power Components in Milwaukee, WI is seeking an Environmental Health & Safety Specialist to strengthen our safety culture across fabrication and assembly operations. You will lead hazard assessments, develop compliant safety programs, and deliver training to employees and managers.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in OH&S or related field with 2+ years in manufacturing, knowledge of OSHA/EPA standards, and strong communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in occupational health and safety or related field.
• 2+ years of hands-on experience in manufacturing safety.
• Solid knowledge of OSHA/EPA standards.
• Excellent written and verbal communication across all levels.
• Proficiency with MS Office and safety management software.

Responsibilities

• Conduct safety audits to identify hazards and minimize risks.
• Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and programs.
• Deliver safety training for employees and management.
• Lead incident investigations and recommend corrective actions.
• Manage lockout/tagout, confined space, respiratory protection, hearing conservation, and related programs.
• Support Emergency response planning, drills, and safety committees.
• Maintain thorough records and generate safety reports.
