Job summary

Solventum seeks a Manufacturing Controls Engineer to maintain and improve production controls at onsite facilities in Eagan, MN. You will troubleshoot PLCs, drives, motors, and sensors, ensuring safe, reliable operation while driving continuous improvement across lab and pilot production environments.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field and 2+ years of manufacturing experience, with relocation possible and up to 10% travel. Onsite work location: 1750 Yankee Doodle Rd, Eagan, MN.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in a science/engineering field and two years of manufacturing experience
Experience with electro‑mechanical systems, automation controls, SCADA, or robotics
Project experience leading engineering or process improvement initiatives

Responsibilities

Maintain and troubleshoot production-scale equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation
Lead reliability and continuous improvement initiatives to boost performance and quality
Design and optimize manufacturing control systems including PLCs, drives, and sensors
Support equipment startups, tech transfer, and capital projects with cross‑functional teams
Develop maintenance strategies and keep documentation up to date
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
