Job summary

Solventum in Minnesota is hiring a Manufacturing Controls Engineer to optimize and maintain production equipment. You will troubleshoot PLCs, drives, and automation systems, supporting startups and process improvements across labs and pilot lines.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering and at least two years in manufacturing, with travel up to 10% and onsite work at 1750 Yankee Doodle Rd, Eagan, MN. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a science, technology, engineering, or mathematics discipline with at least 2 years of manufacturing engineering experience.
• Experience programming, modifying, or troubleshooting PLCs used in manufacturing operations.
• Experience working with industrial electrical equipment and control systems in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain production-scale manufacturing and process development equipment.
• Troubleshoot controls, automation, electromechanical, and web-processing equipment to minimize downtime.
• Lead proactive equipment reliability and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Design, install, modify, validate, and optimize manufacturing equipment and control systems.
• Collaborate with Engineering, R&D, Production and cross-functional teams on startups and tech transfers.
• Develop preventive and corrective maintenance strategies and document records.
• Ensure safety, quality, environmental, and regulatory compliance.
