Job summary

NYCOA is seeking an experienced Corporate Controller to lead accounting and financial operations in Manchester, NH. This senior role requires hands‑on financial leadership with deep manufacturing experience to guide day‑to‑day accounting and provide strategic insights to executives.

The ideal candidate has extensive manufacturing finance, cost accounting, US GAAP, budgeting, cash management, and internal controls experience.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting/finance experience, with manufacturing focus.
• Strong manufacturing cost accounting, variance analysis, and operational reporting.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; CPA not specified.
• Broad US GAAP knowledge, budgeting, forecasting, and cash management.
• ERP evaluation, implementation, or upgrade experience.
• Advanced accounting systems proficiency; Paychex Payroll is a plus.
• Audit experience in public or private sectors is required.
• Proven leadership of accounting teams and collaboration with executives.
• Hands-on, analytical, proactive approach with strong judgment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting functions: billing, AR, AP, GL, payroll, cost accounting, inventory, treasury.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, year-end closes and ensure GAAP-compliant reporting.
• Prepare statements, cash forecasts, budgets, forecasts, and analyses for executives.
• Lead annual budgeting/forecasting with department partners.
• Maintain and improve job costing, standard costing, inventory controls, and variance reporting.
• Partner with plant/production leadership to drive cost improvements and profitability.
• Manage cash flow, banking relationships, and treasury activities.
• Coordinate audits, tax filings and regulatory reporting.
• Develop and maintain robust internal controls and ERP transition leadership.
• Lead and mentor the accounting team; drive accountability and collaboration.
• Support strategic financial initiatives and process improvements.
