Job summary

NYCOA in Manchester, NH is seeking a Corporate Controller to lead accounting and financial operations in a hands-on, senior role. You will oversee day-to-day accounting while providing strategic insights to executives.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in manufacturing finance, deep cost accounting, US GAAP, budgeting, cash management, internal controls, and ERP leadership. You will partner with operations and drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including significant experience within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong background in job costing, standard costing, inventory accounting, manufacturing variance analysis, and operational financial reporting.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cash management, internal controls, and financial analysis.
• Demonstrated ERP/accounting system initiatives experience.
• Advanced proficiency with accounting/financial systems; Paychex Payroll is a plus.
• Previous public or private audit experience.
• Proven ability to lead accounting teams, partner with executive leadership, and take ownership of company-wide financial operations.
• Hands-on, analytical, organized, and proactive with strong judgment and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting functions including billing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, payroll, cost accounting, inventory management, and treasury.
• Lead monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes and ensure financial reporting is accurate, timely, and compliant with US GAAP.
• Prepare financial statements, cash forecasts, borrowing-base reports, budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses for executive leadership.
• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting process while partnering with department leaders to develop accurate financial plans.
• Maintain and improve job costing, standard costing, inventory controls, and manufacturing variance reporting across labor, material, and overhead.
• Work closely with plant and production leadership to identify cost drivers, improve processes, evaluate performance, and support profitability.
• Manage cash flow, banking relationships, credit facilities, lender reporting, and other treasury activities.
• Coordinate annual audits, tax preparation, regulatory filings, and other local, state, and federal reporting requirements.
• Develop, maintain, and strengthen accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to safeguard company assets and maintain audit readiness.
• Lead the transition from legacy accounting systems to a modern ERP platform, including evaluation, implementation, process development, and adoption.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and direction to the accounting and finance team while promoting accountability, accuracy, and collaboration.
• Support executive leadership with special financial analyses, process improvements, and other strategic initiatives.
