Zusammenfassung

AIC is seeking an experienced on-site accountant to own the books for a manufacturing portfolio company. You will handle AR, AP, payroll, inventory valuation, and the month-end close, aligning to our standard chart of accounts and preparing the opening balance sheet after close.

You will also manage cost data, billings for government and commercial work, and back-office HR tasks as part of a hands-on accounting role in a PE-backed environment.

Qualifikationen

• Must have 5+ years of hands-on accounting experience and full ownership of a month-end close.
• Manufacturing accounting experience with inventory, WIP, standard costs and variance analysis.
• BS in accounting or equivalent experience; strong US GAAP knowledge.
• Experience as the sole accountant in a small/mid-size setting preferred.
• Familiar with ERP and Excel; adaptable to systems that may not meet vendor promises.

Aufgaben

• Run day-to-day accounting for a real operating company including AR/AP, payroll, and GL.
• Validate inventory valuation across raw material, WIP, and finished goods.
• Close books to a standard per AIC's process and prep an opening balance sheet.
• Handle deal-related entries: purchase accounting, working capital true-ups, audits.
• Support customer and contract requirements: progress billings and invoicing.
• Run back-office administration including benefits, payroll, and HR tasks.
