Job summary

3M Clinton, TN is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join a global team of innovators. You will work on-site at the Clinton facility, maintaining safe operations and supporting a variety of mechanical and electrical equipment.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting bearings, gear boxes, pumps, valves, drives, PLCs and HMIs, performing preventive maintenance, and being available for on-call rotations. The role requires a HS diploma or advanced tech degree and overtime availability.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or higher required.
• Two-year technical diploma/degree or higher in Mechanical, Electrical/Electronics or Maintenance required.
• Minimum of three (3) years’ maintenance experience in private, public, government, or military environment.
• Must be available to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and participate in on-call rotation.
• Applicants must pass 3M elected testing as part of the selection process.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe work environment and perform duties safely.
• Troubleshoot/Repair mechanical equipment and components (bearings, bushings, gear boxes, pump seals, clutches, brakes, drive components, valves, motors, couplings).
• Troubleshoot/Adjust mechanical equipment (hydraulic and pneumatic machinery, variable speed power transmission systems, conveyors, spraying systems, extruders).
• Troubleshoot control valves, hydraulic/pneumatic systems, and pumps; replace AC and DC drive, PLCs, HMIs.
• Maintain a safe work environment and perform duties safely.
