Job summary

Clayton is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our industrial team in Morristown, TN. You will troubleshoot electrical systems up to 480 VAC, perform preventative maintenance, and repair machinery, piping, and electrical components to ensure safe, efficient operation.

The role requires 1+ years in an industrial maintenance environment, ability to read blueprints, and proficiency with electrical meters. OT and Saturday work may be required, with a focus on teamwork and safety.

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ experience as a Maintenance Technician in an industrial environment.
• Experience working on electrical systems up to 480 volts.
• Able to demonstrate use of electrical meters and all of their functions.
• Knowledge of 3 phase voltage and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Work safely in the facility and notify appropriate person of unsafe practices.
• Troubleshoot, identify failed components and repair electrical equipment.
• Understand and troubleshoot DC voltage up to 24 VDC and AC up to 480 VAC.
• Perform preventative maintenance to improve machine output and performance.
• Work collaboratively in a team environment; overtime and Saturdays as needed.
• Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, pipes, and electrical systems.
• Read blueprints, sketches, machine parts to determine repairs.
