Job summary

Hertz Rent-A-Car in Kailua-Kona, HI is seeking an Onsite Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance operations for our vehicle pool. This management role provides administrative oversight and staff leadership to keep service metrics on track.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in a supervisory role in vehicle maintenance, a high school diploma, and the ability to manage schedules, invoices, and daily tasks. Local candidates only; flexible shifts and a valid driver's license required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in a management or supervisory role overseeing vehicle maintenance.
• Knowledge of rental car procedures and location operations.

Responsibilities

The Onsite Maintenance Supervisor role is a management role with the Hertz Corporation that provides leadership and administrative support to all maintenance functions. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing service maintenance on all vehicles within the Pool as well as managing the maintenance department employees. Must have excellent multi-tasking and verbal/written communication skills and the ability to manage, develop, and motivate staff.

Educational Background

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Professional Experience

• 2+ years in a management or supervisory role overseeing the repair and maintenance of vehicles.

Knowledge

• Knowledgeable in rental car procedures and location operations.
• General understanding of maintenance practices (preventative and warranty preferred)

Skills

• Complex problem-solving skills: proven ability to solve problems independently.
• Must have excellent multi-tasking and verbal/written communication skills.
• Ability to manage, develop and motivate staff.
• Must be computer literate with strong keyboarding skills.

Additional Notes

• Must be able to work flexible shifts including weekends, holidays, and overtime as required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
