Job summary

Legends Global, at The Moscone Center in San Francisco, seeks a Maintenance Engineer to support all aspects of facility maintenance. You will assist the Chief and Assistant Engineers in maintaining operating equipment and ensuring smooth collaboration between clients and internal teams.

The role requires knowledge across HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and control systems, with a flexible schedule including nights/weekends; union affiliation (Local 39) is noted for consideration.

Qualifications

• Ability to listen and follow instructions.
• Solid knowledge of all phases of building, equipment, operations and maintenance.
• Strong reading and interpretation of blueprints, specifications and manuals.
• Excellent problem solving and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain heating, ventilation, engines, pumps, air compressors, and related equipment.
• Maintain boilers, heaters, pumps, valves, and distribution lines for steam and hot water.
• Repair and service pumps handling brines and refrigerants and related lines.
• Operate and repair air compressors and air control devices.
• Maintain gas distribution lines, valves and related control devices.
• Maintain water filtration, piping, sinks, toilets, and sprinkler systems.
• Operate and repair electrical motors powering pumps, compressors and fans.
• Maintain elevators, hoists, escalators, and related components.
• Perform electrical work and related repairs as needed.
• Utilize appropriate tools and equipment to operate, maintain, and repair listed systems.
• Operate, maintain and repair fuel oil systems and controls.
• Manage building automation systems for HVAC, data panels, and remote sensors.
• Operate and repair mail conveyors (tenant systems excluded).
• Maintain sanitary sewer systems, sump pumps, basins, and plumbing.
• Maintain trash compactors, including electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Service kitchen equipment (non-tenant owned).
• Maintain locks, keys and locksmith duties.
• Carpentry tasks and related installation/repair work.
• Maintain energy systems, life safety, environmental controls, and telecom systems as required.
• Perform other maintenance duties as needed.
