Job summary

Xyant Technology, Inc. is seeking a Technical Specialist - Mainframe Expert to join our long-term W2 contract in the United States. The role requires extensive experience with Z/OS, CICS, DB2, Endevor, IMS, JCL, MQ, and SQL, providing advanced configuration, release management, and performance optimization.

The ideal candidate will perform CICS administration, troubleshooting, and collaborate closely with application developers and DIT personnel to deliver robust mainframe solutions.

Qualifications

• 7+ years with Z/OS operating system and interrelationships.
• 7+ years of configuration/release management support for Endevor.
• 7+ years of expert SQL programming knowledge and techniques.
• 7+ years of experience with DB2 and related utilities.
• 7+ years of experience evaluating complex SQL queries for optimization.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a core mainframe expert across CICS, DB2, Endevor and JCL.
• Provide configuration and release management guidance for Endevor.
• Apply advanced SQL techniques to support DB2 and performance tuning.
• Deliver CICS administration, troubleshooting and debugging support.
• Collaborate with developers and DIT personnel to resolve issues.
