Job summary

Alexander & Schmidt is seeking an Insurance Loss Control Field Representative in Newark, NJ to perform on-site inspections of commercial and residential properties for underwriting purposes.

You will prepare comprehensive loss control reports and supporting diagrams, uploading them through our reporting portals. The role requires travel within a 60-mile radius and strong written communication, with professional certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years’ loss control experience with commercial carriers or as an independent contractor.
• Understanding of commercial P&C lines: property, general liability, auto, workers' compensation.
• Strong written and verbal communication; organized; proficient with computers.
• Willing to travel within a 60 mile radius.
• Certifications CSP, OHST, ALCM and/or ARM preferred but not required.
• Upload reports via website or use web-based reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Conduct on-site inspections of commercial and residential properties.
