Job summary

Bucks IU is seeking a dedicated Special Education Teacher to provide IEP-based instruction and support to students with disabilities. The role involves developing IEPs, collecting progress data, and collaborating with families, school districts, and related service providers to promote student growth and outcomes.

Instruction may occur in classroom, community, home, or virtual settings based on program needs.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate effectively with families and professionals.
• Proficiency in in-home and online delivery of education and instructional materials.

Responsibilities

• Regular on-site presence and attendance.
• Follow state and federal special education requirements (IDEA, Chapter 14).
• Develop, write, and implement IEPs.
• Convene meetings for evaluations and IEPs.
• Collect and analyze progress data on IEP goals.
• Collaborate with families and school districts.
• Lead IEP team coordination and communication.
