Job summary

Bucks IU is seeking a Special Education Teacher-Specials to provide specialized instruction and support to students with disabilities under IEPs. The role involves planning and delivering standards-aligned instruction, collecting data, and coordinating with families and related service providers to support student outcomes.

The position requires developing IEPs, working with diverse teams, and ensuring a safe, inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• PA Special Education Certification required.
• Master’s Degree beneficial.
• Ability to communicate effectively across a variety of team members.
• Proficiency with in-home and online delivery of education and instructional materials.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct instruction in Bucks IU related classes (specials), including art, music, health and/or physical education.
• Regular attendance and reliable on-site presence.
• Follow all applicable state and federal special education requirements, including Chapter 14 and IDEA.
• Develop, write, and implement IEPs in accordance with student needs.
• Convene all required meetings related to evaluations and IEPs.
