Job summary

Bucks IU is seeking a Long Term Substitute Special Education Teacher in Morrisville, PA. The role provides specialized instruction to students with disabilities and requires developing IEPs, data collection, and collaboration with families and school teams.

Instruction may occur on-site in various settings and the position is not remote. The educator will maintain a safe, inclusive classroom, monitor student progress, and ensure compliance with IDEA and state regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• Master’s Degree beneficial.
• PA Special Education Certification required, or applicants must meet certification requirements.
• Continued employment is contingent upon maintaining PDE certifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop, write, and implement IEPs based on student needs and data.
• Collect and analyze progress data to monitor IEP goals.
• Convene required meetings related to evaluations and IEPs.
• Review procedural safeguards and summarize for families annually.
• Provide evidence-based instruction in various settings (classroom, community, home, virtual).
• Lead IEP team communications and coordinate with families and service providers.
