Job summary

DP World is seeking an experienced Operations Manager based in Fairburn, GA to plan, direct and coordinate the operations at the facility. You will lead daily activities of a logistics operation, maximize schedule adherence and ensure effective staffing and contingency planning.

This onsite role requires a bachelor's degree in business or related field and progressive management experience in logistics or automotive sectors.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or related field preferred.
Progressive experience performing professional level operational and plant management duties; preferably in automotive or logistics industry.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex documents; respond effectively to sensitive inquiries or complaints.
Ability to write documents with original or innovative style and present to top management and customers.
Proficient in PC tools including email, databases, word processing, and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

Manage the daily activities of a logistics operation to maximize scheduling and delivery.
Interface with customer to ensure smooth coordination of scheduling and maximize schedule adherence.
Enact contingency plans; troubleshoot issues and participate in post-mortem analyses.
Review performance against targets and take corrective actions as needed.
Provide effective leadership to Warehouse Managers and teams, enforcing standards.
