Job summary

TRUMPF Inc. seeks an analytical Internal Logistics Data & Process Improvement Intern in Farmington, CT, to optimize material flow and inventory accuracy. You will build Power BI dashboards, analyze SAP data, and contribute to Lean improvement projects within a manufacturing context.

The internship runs onsite January 2027–August 2027, averaging at least 32 hours per week, with opportunities to collaborate across Supply Chain, IT, Engineering, and Manufacturing groups.

Qualifications

• This position requires a degree pursuit in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Manufacturing Engineering, or Data Analytics.
• Familiarity with SAP or another ERP system is preferred.
• Experience with Power BI, Excel, or data analytics is expected.

Responsibilities

• Analyze Internal Logistics processes to identify opportunities to improve material flow, inventory accuracy, productivity, and efficiency.
• Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards for logistics KPIs and material availability.
• Review inventory transactions and stock levels using SAP.
• Support cycle counting and root-cause analysis of discrepancies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on Lean initiatives and standard work.
