Job summary

TRUMPF Inc. is seeking an intern for the Assembly Department at the Farmington, CT location. The internship runs onsite from January 2027 to August 2027, requiring at least 32 hours per week.

The ideal candidate has a background in Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering and will work with SAP and other design tools. The role emphasizes creating work instructions, improving productivity, and developing ergonomic production layouts, with exposure to Toyota Production System and Six Sigma

Qualifications

• Must be a student enrolled in an accredited university pursuing an undergraduate degree in a related field.

Responsibilities

• Support description of standards in Machine assembly (e.g. create work instructions, do time studies).
• Run small projects to improve productivity and quality.
• Create new production layouts.
• Define work stations according to ergonomic standards.
• Help with smaller fixture design projects.
• Work within the SAP system to link work instructions to the appropriate production steps.
