Job summary

Auria is seeking a Systems Administrator - Linux to join our on-site team in Warrenton or Reston, VA. You will manage Linux servers and endpoints, implement automation with Ansible, and support virtualization with Proxmox, VMware, and Hyper-V.

The role emphasizes security hardening, incident response under Cyber direction, and close collaboration with Platform Operations and development teams. A Bachelor's in IT/CS and 3–6 years of experience are expected; relevant certifications are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3–6 years of systems administration experience.
• Experience administering Ubuntu servers and endpoints.
• Experience with Ansible and Bash scripting; familiarity with IaC.
• Familiarity with virtualization and networking concepts.
• Security hardening and vulnerability remediation knowledge.
• Preferred LFCS/CompTIA Linux+ or RHCA credentials.

Responsibilities

• Provision, configure, patch, upgrade Linux servers and endpoints.
• Develop Ansible playbooks and Bash scripts for provisioning and deployments.
• Manage Proxmox, VMware, and Hyper-V virtualization.
• Support Docker and Kubernetes environments.
• Coordinate CI/CD integration with Platform Operations.
• Implement hardening, access controls, and SSH keys.
• Monitor health, backups, and DR readiness.
• Document changes and configurations.
