AOI in Sugar Land, Texas is seeking a hands-on Linux & Proxmox Systems Administrator to manage our on-site server and virtualization infrastructure. You will handle Proxmox VE clusters, Linux servers, VMs/containers, storage integration, backups, monitoring, and automation while ensuring availability, performance, and security.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional Linux systems administration experience.
• Hands-on with Proxmox VE, clusters, HA, backup/restore, and storage integration.
• Experience managing VMs and LXC containers, including migration and snapshots.
• Strong Linux fundamentals, scripting, and networking knowledge.
• Familiarity with monitoring, security hardening, and incident response.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux servers across production and development environments.
• Deploy and manage Proxmox VE clusters, VMs, containers, and storage integrations (Ceph, ZFS, NFS, iSCSI).
• Monitor system health, implement security best practices, and automate tasks with Bash/Python/Ansible-like tools.
• Plan backups, disaster recovery, and ensure high availability and reliability of infra.
