Collins Aerospace, an RTX company, is hiring a Principal Systems Engineer Integration & Test Lead in Cedar Rapids, IA. This role leads system integration and test activities for multi-domain technologies and cryptographic products, guiding cross-functional teams through integration builds, verification, and performance validation.

You will develop integration plans, ensure robust test coverage, and drive execution to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals in a fast-paced defense environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with systems development processes from requirements to production.
• Hands-on test planning, procedure development, execution, and results analysis.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve integration defects across software and hardware domains.
• Ability to coordinate across multiple disciplines and manage priorities.
• Experience with test tools, measurement equipment, scripting, and automation techniques.
• Active and transferable Secret U.S. government-issued security clearance is required.
• U.S. citizenship is required for access to sensitive information.
• Typically requires a STEM degree with 8 years of relevant experience or an advanced degree with 5+ years.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, coordination, and execution of system integration and test activities across multi-disciplinary teams.
• Develop integration strategies, test plans, procedures, environments, and schedules.
• Drive system bring up, lab activities, and test events aligned with milestones.
• Identify and resolve integration issues with root-cause analysis.
• Ensure verification and validation meet requirements and quality standards.
• Provide test status, metrics, and assessments to management.
• Manage test assets, environments, and configurations.
• Support customer test events and demonstrations.
• Collaborate with Systems Engineering to refine requirements and interfaces.
• Improve integration workflows and test automation.
• Provide technical leadership to junior engineers.
• Travel approximately 10%.
