Job summary

Gibralter Border Barriers is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to oversee heavy civil design-build projects from pre-construction through completion. The Superintendent will coordinate field operations, ensure safety, maintain schedule adherence, and deliver quality work in accordance with contract requirements.

This onsite role requires a highly qualified construction professional with extensive heavy civil and design-build experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience serving as a Construction Superintendent.
• Experience completing at least two heavy civil design-build projects within the last 15 years, each worth $10M+.
• USACE EM 385-1-1 24-hour Construction Safety Training completed within the last 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall field leadership and supervision for heavy civil construction projects.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, equipment, and labor resources.
• Ensure all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and contract requirements.
• Interpret and execute construction plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Monitor and manage project schedules, including critical path activities.
• Conduct daily site inspections and maintain quality control standards.
• Lead safety meetings and enforce project safety requirements.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Owners, Engineers, Inspectors, and subcontractors.
• Maintain project documentation, daily reports, and field records.
• Identify and resolve field issues to minimize impacts to schedule and budget.
