Job summary

Gibraltar Border Barriers seeks an experienced Superintendent to lead and manage heavy civil design-build projects from pre-construction through completion. The role requires onsite presence during construction, with responsibility for safety, schedule adherence, coordination of subs and resources, and quality control.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years of experience serving as a Construction Superintendent.
• Must have completed at least two heavy civil design-build projects within the last 15 years, each $10 million+ value.
• EM 385-1-1 24-Hour Construction Safety Training within the last five years (proof with resume).
• Resume must demonstrate experience interpreting and managing critical path schedules.
• Must oversee all onsite construction activities and maintain schedule compliance.
• Must be onsite whenever construction activities are taking place.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall field leadership and supervision for heavy civil construction projects.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, equipment, and labor resources.
• Ensure all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications and contract requirements.
• Interpret and execute construction plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Monitor and manage project schedules, including critical path activities.
• Conduct daily site inspections and maintain quality control standards.
• Lead safety meetings and enforce project safety requirements.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Owners, Engineers, Inspectors, and subcontractors.
• Maintain project documentation, daily reports, and field records.
• Identify and resolve field issues to minimize impacts to schedule and budget.
