Job summary

Saiia Construction, a premier industrial heavy civil contractor backed by MasTec, is seeking an experienced Foreman near Birmingham, AL to lead jobsite crews, direct equipment operations, and uphold safety and quality standards on day and night shifts.

The Foreman will manage budgets, schedules, and field reports, coordinate with Project Manager, and ensure compliance with EPA, DOT, OSHA and MSHA requirements while maintaining daily logs and equipment checks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1 year in construction environment and 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Must have and maintain a valid state issued Driver’s License with driving record that meets Saiia’s risk management guidelines.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Effective interpersonal communication across various levels of the organization and with external customers and vendors.
• Ability to plan for and execute planned improvements and action items.
• Knowledge of EPA, state EPA, DOT, OSHA, MSHA and other related state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Directs jobsite personnel and equipment; plans work schedule and manpower levels.
• Collaborate with Project Manager to ensure site success and project alignment.
• Ensure adherence to safety rules, procedures, and OSHA/MSHA regulations.
• Maintain quality control of design requirements and documentation.
• Prepare reports including hours, equipment usage, materials, and production; log daily activities.
• Operate company truck at jobsite to monitor equipment and processes; coordinate with departments to secure needed resources.
