Job summary

Lockheed Martin Space seeks an experienced Electromechanical Harness Engineer to lead a team in developing 3D concept models of space flight avionics cable and harnessing, advancing them for flight use. Location: Littleton or Englewood, CO with a 9x80 in-office schedule.

You will oversee requirements through development and production, coordinate across functional groups, and present technical status to program leadership and customers. DoD Top Secret clearance required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science or higher from an accredited college in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Proven experience in electrical/mechanical engineering including wire harness/cable design.
• Experience with CAD design.
• Willing and able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top-Secret clearance, thus US Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead trade studies on cable and harness design approaches and provide technical data for design reviews and presentations.
• Provide leadership on a fast-paced team from requirements through development and production.
• Coordinate between functional groups during the product development life cycle.
• Communicate technical status and issues to program leadership, technical leadership and the customer.
• Conduct personnel management for a portion of the FBM Avionics team and recruit/train staff.
• Participate in technical reviews and audits and resolve test anomalies.
• Autonomously deliver work products and achieve milestones.
