Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Electrical Distribution Engineer to join a highly technical team supporting aerospace infrastructure at Kennedy Space Center in Florida. You will design, install, commission, and expand electrical power systems for launch operations, with exposure to current demand around 22 MW and future growth plans.

The role focuses on low/medium/high-voltage distribution, switchgear, transformers, MCCs, NEC compliance, and field installation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering required.
• 1 year of related experience or significant academic project work in power systems or industrial electrical systems.
• Solid understanding of electrical distribution fundamentals and NEC.

Responsibilities

• Support design and implementation of low, medium, and high-voltage power distribution systems.
• Assist with specification and integration of switchgear, transformers, MCCs, and facility electrical infrastructure.
• Develop electrical distribution solutions for expansion projects to meet growing power demands.
• Perform electrical load calculations and conductor sizing to ensure safe operation.
• Create one-line diagrams, electrical layouts, and system studies to guide design and construction.
