Job summary

Epiroc is seeking a Laser Operator to set up and operate laser cutting machines at our Dexter, MI facility. The role requires the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment and to ensure products meet customer quality requirements.

Two shifts are available (first and second). This onsite position not eligible for immigration/work visa sponsorship. Join a global leader focused on innovation and sustainable mining and construction solutions.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency in interpreting technical documentation for problem solving and analytical purposes.
• Preferred previous experience operating laser machines or similar equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and process parts according to print and traveler requirements.
• Monitor machine cutting performance and utilization.
• Understand machine setup, including program retrieval, proper gases, proper nozzles, and materials.
• Understand start-up and shutdown for laser machines.
• Diagnose machining problems while performing jobs, making modifications as needed.
• Perform laser cutting operations efficiently and effectively, per specifications.
• Check the quality of the product machined and notify the supervisor of process issues.
• Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
