Job summary

Epiroc is seeking a Laser Operator for our Dexter, MI facility. You will set up and operate laser cutting machines to produce parts that meet customer quality requirements in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications include a high school diploma and experience operating laser equipment, with the ability to interpret technical documentation and use measuring tools in a Windows-based system. Join a team that values safety and quality as part of our industrial tools leadership.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Proficiency in interpreting technical documentation for problem solving and analytical purposes.
• Preferred previous experience operating laser machines or similar equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate and process parts according to print and traveler requirements.
• Monitor machine cutting performance and utilization.
• Understand machine setup, including program retrieval, proper gases, proper nozzles, and materials.
• Understand start-up and shutdown for laser machines.
• Diagnose machining problems while performing jobs, making modifications as needed.
• Perform laser cutting operations efficiently and effectively, per specifications.
• Check the quality of the product machined and notify the supervisor of process issues.
• Maintain safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
