Job summary

Kimley-Horn's Raleigh office is seeking a Civil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) with 2+ years of experience to join the Land Development team. This is not a remote position.

The role focuses on site development engineering, project management, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team. You will perform design tasks, permitting, and use AutoCAD Civil 3D along with hydrology and storm drainage software, while contributing to client-focused solutions.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience with a civil engineering design firm.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Civil Engineering from ABET-accredited program.
• EIT or ability to obtain within 12 months.
• Working knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D.

Responsibilities

• Perform site development engineering and project management tasks for various projects.
• Complete site civil design, permitting, and use Civil 3D, hydrology modeling, and storm drainage programs.
• Work on land development site designs and coordinate with team on budgets and schedules.
• Assist in research, coordination, cost estimating, permitting for land disturbance, and preparation of bid packages.
