Job summary

Labcorp is seeking an Onsite Lab Support Clerk in Evanston, IL. The role runs Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm with rotating Saturdays 9:00am–2:00pm, handling specimen preparation, labeling and data entry to support diagnostic testing.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma and at least 1 year in a lab setting or related field, with comfort handling specimens and strong MS Office skills. Competitive benefits and a supportive team environment are offered.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
1 year+ experience in laboratory, accessioning, data entry or manufacturing preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
Communicate effectively with client office staff.
Research, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen problems.
Meet department activity and production goals.
Data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
Accurately identify and label specimens.
Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities.
Scrub requisitions to ensure samples are prepared and missing items are updated.
Perform spinning, freezing, splitting and other special services as needed based on client.
