Job summary

Labcorp is seeking an Onsite Lab Support Clerk in Evanston, IL. The role runs Monday–Friday 8:00am–4:30pm with rotating Saturdays 9:00am–2:00pm, handling specimen preparation, labeling and data entry to support diagnostic testing.

Ideal candidates have a High School diploma and at least 1 year in a lab setting or related field, with comfort handling specimens and strong MS Office skills. Competitive benefits and a supportive team environment are offered.

Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Communicate effectively with client office staff.
• Research, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen problems.
• Meet department activity and production goals.
• Data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Accurately identify and label specimens.
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities.
• Scrub requisitions to ensure samples are prepared and missing items are updated.
• Perform spinning, freezing, splitting and other special services as needed based on client.

Labcorp is seeking an Onsite Lab Support Clerk to join our team in Evanston, IL.

Work Schedule:

Monday – Friday 8:00am-4:30pm, rotating Saturdays 9:00am-2:00pm

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent
• 1 year or more experience in laboratory or accessioning or data entry or manufacturing

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more of medical or patient facing healthcare experience

Additional Job Standards

• Comfortable handling biological specimens
• Ability to accurately identify specimens
• Experience working in a team environment
• Strong data entry and organizational skills
• High level of attention to detail
• Proficient in MS Office
• Able to lift up to 40lbs.
• Able to pass a standardized color blindness test

Benefits:

Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except P TO or FTO.

• Pay Range: $17.75 - $22.00 per hour
