Job summary

Labcorp is seeking an Onsite Lab Support Clerk to join our team at 5140 N. California, Chicago, IL. The role supports specimen accessioning, data entry and customer communication in a fast-paced laboratory setting.

Responsibilities include preparing specimens, labeling, packing shipments and ensuring accurate data entry while meeting production goals. Evening shifts and weekend rotation are included with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED (or equivalent) required.
• 1 year or more experience in laboratory, accessioning, data entry, or manufacturing preferred.

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing.
• Communicate effectively with client office staff.
• Research, troubleshoot and resolve customer and specimen problems.
• Meet department activity and production goals.
• Data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Accurately identify and label specimens.
• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities.
• Scrub requisitions to ensure samples are prepared and missing items are updated.

Labcorp is seeking an Onsite Lab Support Clerk to join our team at 5140 N. California, Chicago, IL

Work Schedule: Monday – Friday 12:00pm-8:30pm, Saturday 12:00pm-4:00pm

Job Responsibilities

• Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
• Communicate effectively with client office staff

• Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities

• Do spinning/freezing/splitting and other special services as needed based on client

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent
• 1 year or more experience in laboratory or accessioning or data entry or manufacturing

Preferred Qualifications

• 1 year or more of medical or patient facing healthcare experience

The position, Hospital Reference Test Clerk, will be responsible for performing clinical specimen accessioning, sample sorting and data entry in a fast-paced, high-throughput environment located onsite with one of our client offices.

• Pay Range: $17.75 - $22.00 per hour

Eligible for 2nd Shift Differential

All job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data

Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except P TO or FTO.
