Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Laboratory Processor for a contract opportunity in Wichita, KS. This onsite role supports accurate specimen preparation, data entry, and adherence to HIPAA guidelines in a fast-paced lab setting.

You will receive, sort, and accession specimens, verify information, operate routine lab equipment, and help maintain quality records while meeting productivity targets. This is a hands-on role with growth potential in a leading diagnostic services organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 6 months to 2 years in lab, healthcare, production or data entry.
• Onsite contract opportunity with day shift.

Responsibilities

• Receive, sort, and accession patient specimens accurately.
• Verify patient and specimen information for data integrity.
• Prepare samples for testing according to procedures.
• Enter specimen and patient data into lab systems.
• Label, package, and distribute specimens to testing departments.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation.
• Follow quality control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines.
• Operate laboratory equipment used for processing.
• Communicate with staff, couriers, and healthcare providers.
• Monitor storage conditions and ensure proper handling.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
• Meet productivity and turnaround-time goals.
• Assist with inventory management and replenishment.
