Job summary

KAISER in Jonesboro, Georgia seeks a Laboratory Assistant II to manage specimen collection and processing, and to serve as the onsite lab liaison. Qualifications

• Minimum two (2) years of experience as a Laboratory Assistant.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support required at hire.

Responsibilities

• Serve as onsite laboratory liaison; work independently at facility and manage test reports.
• Collect venipuncture specimens for all ages following policies; ensure specimen handling and PHI protection.
• Provide excellent customer service and communicate delays or issues to members.
• Operate Cerner and HealthConnect/EPIC; maintain a clean, stocked lab area and assist with training.
• Process specimens and monitor pending functions; ensure timely processing and compliance with procedures.
