Responsibilities

• Performs all duties of an RRL Lab Assistant I.
• Prepares specimens for testing, batching, pipetting, and dilutions.
• Loads/unloads samples on instruments and monitors automated equipment.
• Assists in QC procedures and transcribes QC results as needed.
• Performs preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting of lab equipment.
• Records temperatures, humidity, weights, and flags anomalies.
• Follows up on overdue or incomplete test reports and problem specimens.
• Maintains worksheets, logs, labels, and other required records.
• Trains and orients new employees as necessary.
• Performs other non-licensed duties as required.
