Job summary

RTX is seeking a Junior Network Administrator in Tucson, AZ for an onsite role supporting classified network infrastructure. Candidates must have an active US Secret clearance and a background in configuring Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and IDS, plus familiarity with SolarWinds and Visio.

The hire will install, monitor, and upgrade network hardware/software, maintain documentation, and coordinate with vendors for maintenance while adhering to strict security and DoD requirements.

Qualifications

• Requires a university bachelor's degree or equivalent with up to 2 years of relevant network/IT systems experience.
• Experience configuring/troubleshooting Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and IDS.
• Active and transferable U.S. government-issued Secret clearance is required.
• U.S. citizenship is required for clearance eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Maintain smooth operation of voice and data networks in classified environments.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot network hardware and software.
• Develop documentation and diagrams for network infrastructure and protocols.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for third-party maintenance and upgrades.
• Willing to work outside normal hours to support critical operations.
• Follow established procedures under general supervision.
