Job summary

RTX is seeking a Junior Network Administrator (P1) for Tucson, AZ onsite to support classified network infrastructure. Active and transferable U.S. government security clearance is required before start.

This role focuses on installation, maintenance, monitoring, and documentation of network hardware and security controls in SAP environments, with opportunities to obtain Security+ and CCNA.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University/bachelor’s degree with less than 2 years of relevant experience, will consider equivalent of a minimum of 4 years of relevant Network or IT Systems Administration experience.
• Experience in configuration and troubleshooting of Cisco routers, switches, firewalls, and/or intrusion detection systems, including software upgrades.
• Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Maintains smooth operation of voice and data networks. Plans, evaluates, coordinates, and performs installation and/or reconfiguration of hardware and software elements of data and/or voice communication network.
• Work in developing technical expertise in all areas of voice and data networks hardware and software interconnection and interfacing, such as switches, routers, firewalls, authentication servers, encryptors etc.
• Work with network management software platforms.
