Job summary

Nightwing Intelligence Solutions, LLC in Herndon, Virginia seeks a skilled Software Engineer to provide onsite development and operational support for deployed production systems in the customer space. This hybrid role combines hands-on troubleshooting with designing and developing software solutions in a collaborative team.

Candidates must have an active TS/SCI with Poly clearance and a 5+ year track record in Java web applications, microservices, MongoDB/MariaDB, RabbitMQ, and Linux Rocky

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI clearance with Poly.
• Bachelor's Degree in CS/SE or related field OR equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in developing Java web applications within microservices architectures.
• Experience with MongoDB and MariaDB databases.
• Familiarity with RabbitMQ for messaging.
• Understanding of Linux environments, specifically Rocky Linux.
• Experience with cloud services (AWS/Azure/Google).
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies (Hyper-V).
• Familiarity with Python for automation.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite support for Java-based web applications within a microservices architecture.
• Serve as the first line of response for operational software issues; perform root cause analysis and troubleshooting.
• Mobilize off-site technical resources when needed.
• Collaborate with customer and Nightwing teams to integrate solutions with legacy systems and third-party platforms while meeting security requirements.
• Support database operations and optimization for MongoDB and MariaDB.
• Develop and maintain software enhancements for Rocky Linux-based platforms.
