Job summary

Nightwing Intelligence Solutions, LLC is actively seeking a Senior Java Developer to architect and implement robust, modular enterprise applications for mission-critical operations. The role emphasizes OSGi-based architectures, Apache Karaf deployments, and SDN-enabled platforms in a security-cleared environment.

You will design RESTful interfaces, develop scalable microservices, and ensure high-performance networking software while collaborating with cross-functional teams in an onsite Maryland

Qualifications

• A STEM degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5+ years of professional Java development experience.
• Strong expertise with OSGi framework architecture and runtime containers.
• Proven experience with RESTful services and network-oriented APIs.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance with Polygraph and U.S. citizenship required.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop enterprise-grade Java applications using OSGi principles.
• Build and maintain applications on Apache Karaf for modular deployment.
• Contribute to SDN platforms including controllers and network management apps.
• Develop modular services for dynamic network configuration and monitoring.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and northbound/southbound interfaces.
• Build scalable microservices for distributed network functions and real-time data processing.
• Optimize performance for high-throughput, low-latency environments.
• Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams.
• Implement automated testing strategies including unit/integration tests.
• Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions.
• Adhere to agile DevSecOps practices and CM standards.
• Troubleshoot distributed systems and network control apps.
