Job summary

Ardent is seeking an IT Support Specialist to serve as the on-site Workstation Administrator for the Fort Riley TAP IT systems. You will act as the primary liaison between TAP and the Fort Riley NEC, handling installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of networked assets and end-user IT support.

The role requires strong problem-solving skills, knowledge of LAN/WAN, and a commitment to security policies. This is an onsite position at Fort Riley, Kansas.

Qualifications

• Ability to gather and analyze facts and apply rules, regulations, and procedures.
• Knowledge of computer network administration; LAN basics.
• Knowledge of data/process modeling and configuration-management principles.
• Knowledge of Army information management guidance and automated data processing.
• Ability to interact with customers with tact and diplomacy.
• Certifications: CompTIA A+/Network+/Security+ (DoD baseline).
• Willingness to complete required training (ATCTS, DoD IA Awareness, AT, iWATCH, OPSEC, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Serve as on-site Workstation Administrator for TAP IT systems.
• Interface TAP with Fort Riley NEC as primary liaison.
• Plan, install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain TAP assets.
• Provide customer-centric IT support from first contact to closure.
• Maintain ITSM and IASO accounts; report tickets monthly.
• Attend IMO trainings and monthly NEC meetings.
• Troubleshoot hardware/software issues for TAP staff and classrooms.
• Manage user logins, accounts, and file rights; apply diagnostics.
• Identify trends to improve TAP IT processes and procedures.
• Ensure security policies on TAP systems are enforced.
• Track IPs and connectivity between local and NEC systems.
• Open tickets for unresolved issues; install new TAP systems within 2 days.
• Prepare weekly workload and order-status reports.
