Job summary

Insight is seeking an Onsite IT Support Technician for a 6-month W2 contract in Newport Beach, CA. The role covers hardware and networking installation, repair, testing, and on-site servicing for internal teammates and clients.

The ideal candidate has A+ and vendor hardware certifications, 1+ year hardware troubleshooting, and strong Windows OS expertise. Compensation is up to $38/hr, with standard business hours and a relocation-friendly Newport Beach location.

Qualifications

• Experience with LANs, WANs, PCs, messaging and server software.
• Ability to automate tasks with basic scripting is a plus.
• Must handle testing and documentation for hardware/software.
• Extensive knowledge of Windows operating systems and vendor diagnostics.
• One year hardware troubleshooting on laptops/desktops.
• Familiarity with vendor hardware sites for updates and changes.
• A+ certification and at least one vendor hardware certification required.
• One year bench or on-site service experience.

Responsibilities

• Install, modify, repair, test and service hardware and peripherals.
• Configure and test system hardware and document client builds.
• Identify hardware problems and order replacements promptly.
• Unpack/pack devices and follow written/verbal instructions.
• Install/configure network equipment and NOS software.
• Provide on-site services to clients and internal teammates.
