Job summary

Insight is seeking an Onsite IT Support Technician in Newport Beach, CA for a 6-month W2 contract with potential conversion to full-time. The role covers hardware, software configuration and network cabling, with on-site support for clients.

Required: A+ and at least one vendor hardware certification, 1+ year of bench or on-site experience, and strong Windows OS knowledge. Pay is up to $38/hour, commensurate with experience.

Qualifications

• A+ certification and at least one vendor hardware certification required.
• Minimum of one year bench and/or on-site service technical experience.
• Extensive knowledge of Windows operating systems and vendor diagnostics.
• Experience with LANs, WANs, PCs and server software applications.
• Ability to use basic scripting to automate tasks is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Install, modify, repair, test and service hardware and peripherals.
• Configure software and cabling for voice, video and data networks.
• Install and test network equipment like switches, routers, firewalls, VPN devices.
• Provide on-site support for Insight teammates and clients.
• Complete documentation for client builds and return defective parts per policy.
