Job summary

HCLTech in San Diego, CA, seeks an experienced deskside/onsite IT engineer to act as site SPOC for incidents, triage alerts, and provide hands-on support for break-fix issues.

The role requires 5–7 years of hands-on experience, strong Windows/Mac troubleshooting, ITIL/ServiceNow familiarity, and ability to work with vendors and cross-functional teams. Occasional travel and on-call shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-7 years hands-on deskside/onsite support experience.
• Strong Windows (Win10/Win11) and Mac OS X troubleshooting.
• Experience with network and datacenter hardware support.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and ticketing tools.

Responsibilities

• Act as site SPOC for critical incidents and coordinate with CI Manager.
• Triaging and assigning site alerts/incidents; provide on-site hands-on support.
• Adhere to SLAs and ITIL workflows; ensure proper ticketing in ServiceNow.
• Maintain site KBs, update manuals, and participate in change activities.
• Coordinate with L2/L3 teams; involve vendors and OEMs on open actions.
• Travel to other sites as needed; on-call for P1/urgent issues.
• Engage in site operations, preventive maintenance, and daily walkthroughs.
