STI is seeking an on-site IT support specialist to provide end-user assistance across the Culpeper district. The role requires hands-on, onsite work and daily interaction with end users to resolve technical issues and keep IT systems running smoothly.

Responsibilities include troubleshooting desktops, laptops, and wireless devices, managing help desk tickets, and supporting Microsoft products (Windows OS, SharePoint, Office, Teams). Travel within the district by state vehicle is required.

Competenze

• Valid driver's license is required.
• Experience with IT support or help desk systems preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft desktop products (Windows, Office, SharePoint, Teams).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and customer-first attitude.
• Ability to work independently in a field/site environment.

• Provide front-line end-user support onsite across desktops, laptops, and wireless devices.
• Manage help desk tickets using tracking tools and communicate resolutions.
• Support Microsoft Desktop products including Windows OS, SharePoint, MS Office Suite, and MS Teams.
• Deliver excellent customer service with a customer-first approach.
• Maintain documentation of incidents, resolutions, and assets.
• Assist in installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network cabling (Cat6/Cat6a) and patch panels.
• Setup and test network drops, cable labeling, and physical connectivity checks.
• Collaborate with senior technicians on small cabling projects and relocations.
• Maintain inventory of cabling tools, equipment, and supplies.
• Drive a state vehicle to various locations for onsite support.
