Job summary

Allegiance Supply Inc. seeks a Telecommunications Technician for Westover Air Reserve Base, MA, to install copper and fiber for inside and outside plant (ISP/OSP) and troubleshoot outages.

The role is 100% onsite with a contract-to-hire path, and local candidates are preferred. This position follows the Service Contract Act, offering $40.98/hour base plus a Health & Welfare payment of $5.09/hour, eligible for 40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• High school Diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3 years' hands-on experience in the Telecommunications arena (ISP/OSP).
• Experience in fiber optic splicing techniques and ability to attach connectors to fiber optic cables and splice inside/outside cables.
• Familiar with NEC Grounding practices and EIA/TIA 568 A & B.
• Ability to work from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday–Friday, with overtime/weekends as needed.
• Must be able to travel and hold a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Installing, rearranging, and maintaining inside wiring infrastructure including copper and fiber.
• Rearranging splicing and reconnecting at poles, underground, or building terminals.
• Test, repair, and maintain customer-provided voice and data equipment.
• Perform diagnostic tests and interpret service orders.
• Keep detailed records of work activity and changes.
• Ensure customer informed of all planned outages and work.
