Job summary

Avantor in San Carlos, CA is seeking a hands-on logistics and inventory associate to join the Site Services team. You will support lab and production services, conduct audits, manage consumables, and place procurement orders for customers.

The role offers daytime hours Mon-Fri, with cross-training across nearby locations, and requires 2+ years in customer service or material handling, a valid driver's license, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2+ years’ customer service, inventory replenishment, or material handling experience is required.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite is expected.

Responsibilities

• Conduct weekly laboratory safety audits and document findings.
• Establish and manage consumable stocking locations to ensure availability.
• Oversee daily inventory of lab consumables; restock and organize as necessary.
• Utilize barcode scanning systems to place and track product orders.
• Receive, unpack, and organize incoming supplies; dispose of packaging materials appropriately.
• Place procurement orders on behalf of customers using Avantor platforms.
• Monitor and manage inventory metrics, including inventory turns and customer expenditures.
